Tip #5: Join Blogosphere Community

Participate in other blogs especially those that interest you and in line with your niche. Leave meaningful comments, not flattery but sincere feedbacks. What comes from the heart is felt. Almost everyone will allow you to leave your url and email. The blogging community is like a extended family. Help one another and together each achieve more. (Team) Help other bloggers out with traffic and they will help you out.

Blogroll is a  feature that allow blogs to link to each other. If a blogger really likes your site, they will add you to their blogroll. A blogroll connects you to the rest of the blogosphere. This help to drive traffic to your blog and like wise to blogs.

Tip #6: Blog Directories Submission

Submitting to blog directories like blogcatalog, blogwise or bloghub can get great results as far as traffic is concerned. Don’t just submit to major search engine, take this extra step to maximise your blog exposure to the world wide web. Afterall many people go to these directories to find blogs.

For example, BlogCatalog has an estimated visitors of more than 100,000 per day and that’s really cool. No wonder more and more bloggers are turning to it for traffic. To get traffic, please ensure to register the keywords you are targeting in the target tag, and also select categories that are related to your trade with tags filled up with your niche.

Remember to add a description that will entice your targeted audience to check your blog out. Your description should help the potential reader understand your blogging topic and the way you write.

Tip #7: Moderate Your Posts and Enable Spam Filter

To maintain a very quality blog with quality information and readership, you need to moderate the comments on your blog and enable the built-in spam filter to filter off spam.

A popular plug-in I use is Akismet. It does the job very well or me.

Tip #8: Use Free And Inexpensive Blog Traffic Exchange Communities

As you can see there are many ways you can improve your blog to attract readership. There are sites in the blogging communities which can be termed “traffic exchange” sites. It is free to sign up and some are free to use as well. In any case it is inexpensive to get credits to drive traffic to your blog.

Go to these sites blogexplosion, blogclicker, and blogazoo. and sign up. There are two options to help drive traffic to your blog. I suggest you use both of them.

In the first part of 8 Powerful Tips Of A Successful Blog I wrote about the four tips as follows:

1. Provide Quality Content
2. Post Frequently
3. Get Yourself A Set Of Golden Keywords
4. Promote Your Blog Post

I suggest that you go through the 8 tips again and decide three tips you want to start with first. This is important. One group will be overwhelmed and do nothing and the other try to do every thing at once. You are not going to get good result like this.

Understand your own capability and do the ones that you can handle now. Add to it as the weeks go back. Some steps need to be repeated every time you publish a post.

Finally you do not have to do all the 8 tips to become successful. What you need is to do the ones that will get the results you want consistently. Posting quality content and promoting your blog consistently will yield great traffic harvest and readership.
